Our Lives are filled with many difficulties and challenges that cause us to worry. When we worry, if affects us both physically and mentally.
According to the National Institutes of Health, one in three adults has occasional insomnia, and one in ten adults has chronic sleeplessness. Experts are concerned about the ever increasing consumption of sleeping pills by many Americans. Also, suicides are up at an alarming rate.
The remedy for worry is for all of us to trust in God. Often didicult to do when your world seems to be crumbling around you.
In the silence of our hearts, filled with faith, we experience the presence of God. We contemplate him in the beauty of the sunrise, the power of the wind, the majesty of the ocean, the voice of the church, the presence of the Eucharist and each encounter with our neighbor.
He is present in all things and allows certain things to happen so we can give ourselves to Him. Don't be discouraged, He will never abandon you.
Stay steadfast in prayer and don't give up. Hope is in God and not of this world.
