I had a beautiful testimony sent to me via email that I want to share with you, from Jeffery, a man who had an encounter with Father Fox:
Actually Father Fox made me very uncomfortable in a good way. He was somewhat of a Moses figure to me in that I could tell he was in direct contact with the Divine. He was in the Heart of Jesus and the Heart of Jesus was in him. His sanctity and the aura of the convent brought me uncomfortably close to the Divine Majesty. As St Peter said, "depart from me Lord, for I am a sinful man."
I asked him to hear my confession one day after Mass and was not prepared for the encounter. We sat facing each other and he reached over, put his hand on the back of my neck and pulled me close to his heart and it felt like Jesus was doing it which theologically is exactly what happened.
I have suffered from scrupulously since childhood and never quite believed God loved me and he obviously knew that, assured me that I loved Him also and wanted to love him more! I asked him how he could possibly know that and he got uncomfortable and said he had a gift for seeing hearts.
Also Mary has had her hand on my life from the beginning, a fact I didn't realize till I started praying that Liturgy of the Hours. I started noticing the calendar and the days devoted to her and at first thought "hey, this event in my life happened on this day." Then another, then another till I realized an old adage is true. Coincidences are God's way of staying invisible.
Just one example and I'll close.
My wife was very ill for years with various mental and physical ailments. I used to pray before the statue of Our Lady of Fatima at the back of the Church asking her help but eventually my wife died. All seemed lost until the coincidences started showing up. I was a truck driver at the time which is how I happened to be able to get to daily Masses in Alexandria, Fr. Fox’s parish, and I was at Mass in Rapid City at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help the day she died. I didn't know yet till later. We decided to have the funeral at her families' home town in Chester, MT. , population 600.
St Mary's Church. May 13, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima!
Years later and I've met and am planning to marry a great Catholic woman. She's at the parish trying to pick a date that's open and I get a call from her. Only day open for weeks? June 20th. The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I could do this for an hour but you get the point. These events and my experience with Fr Fox are the reasons I want to donate so I guess I'll go back to the website and get that done.
Father Fox has touched so many lives. Our Lord and Our Lady continues to bless the work of the Fatima Family Apostolate, and it is time to fully embrace the mission.
