God’s Grace and Mercy for Our Times

By John C. Preiss
So when you feel like you’ve lost everything, stop focusing on what’s lost and start focusing on what’s left: God and his love for you. When your world is falling apart, it’s so easy to focus on the pain, the problems, the pressure, and the difficulties. It’s the natural response.
At this point in my life I am trying to put forth a conscious effort to fully trust in God in all things. All of us have suffered in some way and especially in the times in which we live. On the outside the future looks gleam at best from this standpoint. Although tough times continue we know that God loves us no matter what and that He will lead us off the path of darkness and into the light of hope. Don’t despair, your prayers are being heard.
In the past, bad times and situations caused an increase in faith and if you look throughout history it is so true. When things are going great in our lives we often neglect God or put Him in the back of our minds and this exactly the opposite of what we should be doing. We should praise Him in all things and all situations, He is all deserving of our constant love because of Him we exist.
Through 2020 the thought of grace and mercy seems to come to me often. God’s grace and mercy is abundant. I want you to focus on the image in this post. This image is of a vision that was seen by Sister Lucia of Fatima. Reflect on this image and insert yourself into it and really ponder what is happening. This really touched me personally and I hope it does the same for you. God loves you and His grace and mercy endures forever.
I will leave you with this short verse from the Bible: “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,” Ephesians 2:3-5
