Learn About the Power of Mary's Intercession

Each year on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary in August I am taken back in spirit to Fatima, where in July 1989, through the Carmelite nuns in Fatima, Portugal, I had word from Sister Lucia that the Lord had acceped the Collegial Consecration of Russia and the World by Pope John Paul II and the bishops of the world as of March 25, 1984 and “the Lord will keep his word” said Sr. Lucia.
This Consecration was required for the conversion of Russia. By September I had all information given me in Fatima translated and prepared for my magazine. In October it reached across the USA and soon what Sister Lucia said was coming about, the dismantling of the Soviet Union. The last 3 months of 1989 saw one country after another in the eastern bloc throw off Communist governments.
On August 19, 1991 there was a coup attempt in Russia by the old Communist hardliners whose goal was to return to 1984 before liberation of peoples began in the Soviet Republics. That very day was the 74th anniversary of Our Lady’s August appearance at Fatima. In August Our Blessed Mother did not appear to the Fatima children in the Cova da Iria on the 13th - as for the other months. The Administrator of Ourem had taken them to prison and so Our Blessed Mother appeared on the 19th, when they were back home. So the communist coup attempt to go back to former times was inaugurated on an anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima.
I learned of the coup attempt when returning from the second youth pilgrimage I conducted that summer at Fatima as I did each summer. So coming from Lisbon to New York I had not heard of this disturbing news until I was lined up to board the plane for the midwest when two businessmen in front of me shared the the news that the Çommunists in Russia had President Mikhail Gorbachev in captivity, saying that he was in a nursing home and now mental. I relied to this: “It will never work. It will soon end and the rejection of Communism will continue in Russia.” They asked me: “Are you a prophet?” I replied, “Sort of” for I was simply going on the message I had from Sister Lucia of Fatima.
Three days later, August 22, 1991, Feast of the Queenship of Mary, the coup attempted by the hardline Communists failed and Gorbachev was back in charge until on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1991, the red flag with the hammer and sickle of the Soviet Union was lowered for the last time over the Kremlin in Moscow. Gorbachev then announced his resignation and the end of the Soviet Union. One of his last acts was to send a letter to Pope John Paul II with whom he had already met two times. Sister Lucia said the Lord told her that the purpose of the Collegial Consecration was so that all could recognize the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of his Mother.
