IT IS GOOD TO GET YOUR RESPONSES TO OUR FFA WEBSITE. FFA means Fatima Family Apostolate. The full title has “International” after it making it FFAI because our magazine, “The Immaculate Heart Messenger” is printed both in the United States and in the Philippines. For all about family life. Look up this magazine on this website and you won’t be sorry. Just got a request from a Doctor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio asked permission to reprint from our latest issue: “When the Father is not the head of the home?” That will will blow the minds of the radical feminists.
I just read a crazy, crazy article send out for inserts in parish bulletins across the country. This one was picked up in Texas. I could hardly believe pastors would use the material, cleverly written to break down authentic Catholic faith and trust in the Church. It reminds me of a crazy, crazy letter I received two days ago from a reader of my magazine, the Immaculate Heart Messenger . He obviously is new to our list of readers as no one could read it long and be that ignorant of the basics of Catholicism and Scripture. He writes big to sound intelligent, misquotes Sacred Scripture. He says, “I believe in Mary and Jesus and ends with criticism of the Church. Hey! That sounds like the uninformed and the liberals who say “Jesus, yes! Church, no!” He claims to believe in Fatima but Our Lady of Fatima fosters loyalty to the Church, especially to the Pope and also modesty but he objects to our article on modesty.
Last evening when I met with a group of young Catholic adults - I read to them the letter of a man threatening to cancel his subscription. The young adults, all of who know their Catholic faith, picked up one sentence after another where he misrepresents not only an article on modesty, which he did not like, but misrepresents the Bible and the Fatima message, and his understanding of the Church while he claims to speak for “Good Catholics.” Well! It is good to get critical mail now and then. I’ll publish his letter just as he wrote it in the next issue. It gives me opportunity to instruct many then in the true teachings of the Catholic Church on all the points he tries to contradict. KEEP YOUR RESPONSES COMING. See you later, FATHER ROBERT J. FOX
How to make Big Bucks by Distorting Catholic History and Doctrines
Thursday, March 30th, 2006
Want to make big bucks by telling lies about the Catholic Church? Want to make hundreds of thousands of dollars by distorting Catholic doctrines and the true history of the Church? It can be done. It has been done. How could you get by with it?
Well! All you have to do is write a novel about Catholic Church history, only don’t report accurate Church history. All you’d have to is write a novel, make it look like Catholic doctrine, and put in enough Church history to deceive as many as possible - so they think that it really is the full scope on Catholic history. But distort the truth and make the Church look bad and ridiculous. But you would get caught in the act???? Oh! No. - No problem for you, that is, if you don’t have a true and correct conscience. Just say, “Oh! Come on now. It’s only a novel. Its just a story to entertain.” That’s what’s being done. Dan Brown has made thousands of $ on his Da Vinci Code. Come May 2006 that book will be the source for a BIG MOVIE HITTING ALL THE SILVER SCREENS. NOT ONLY THAT, THERE ARE MORE NOVELS AROUND AT THE EXPENSE OF CHRIST’S TRUE CHURCH, novels that don’t tell the truth but entertain. You want to be entertained with lies? There were three books on the New York Times best-seller list last month saturated with anti-Catholic themes. Guess which one was the leader of the pack? That’s right. “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown. Yeah! Its already had 150 weeks on the hardbound best-seller list. Hardbound? Yes, that means Doubleday gets $24.95 for the book.
Now Dan Brown is not the first one to make big bucks off anti-Catholic lies. Go back to the 1830’s when I wasn’t even around yet and there we find it: “The Awful Disclosures of Maria Monk of the Hotel Dieu Nunnery of Montreal”. It’s never been out of print since the 1830’s and every so often, as long as I can remember, it surfaces and people get excited wondering if it is true. Terrible lies about what goes on behind convent walls, well that’s terribly entertaining. You getting excited that outright lies are written and contained in best-selling novels about Catholic doctrine, Catholic history, Catholic personalities? Oh! Come on now. They`re just stories with a pseudo-intellectual winks behind them, presented to appear to be established facts of history. After all, to be on best sellers lists they have to have some kind of legitimate face to them. Never mind that hundreds of thousands of people will be affected to think those entertaining novel and stories are the real thing. Never mind that hundreds of thousands of dollars are being made by authors and publishers of these novels.
To make your big bucks’ novel successful, as you tell your entertaining stories, you got to get readers to think that most of what you write is actual history. You see, you should make them think that until now its all been secret and hidden by that big monster of a Catholic Church. But now, you are bringing it to light for our enlightened era. Isn’t this the way anti-Catholic propaganda has worked for some centuries since the Protestant Reformation? ??????
One begins to wonder if the authors of those three best selling anti-Catholic novels are going to eventually be at each others throats. Why? Because their novels are not so novel, (I mean “new”) and it may seem somebody has stolen somebody’s else’s rotten ideas for a novel and to make the big $$$$$. This may save my readers lots of money by telling what these three best sellers all have in common. The plots are involve adventurous couples trotting over the globe called earth, like modern detectives trying to track down hidden historical truths that can prove the Catholic faith is an illusion, not true faith. You see, “The Da Vinci Code” has this couple searching for the documented proof rediscovered in the Holy Land during the Crusades. Oh! You will never guess what they discovered. Get this! Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus Christ and they had a family that can be traced right up to this very day. Hey! Maybe you’re a descendant. Doesn’t the image of St. John the Apostle, the youngest of the twelve, look a bit like a woman on DaVinci’s Last Supper? No! That’s too much! Oh! come now, this is just an entertaining novel.
But get this big dark secret. Way back since the dawn of Christianity the Catholic Church has been engaged in bloodthirsty attacks to destroy ancient pagan beliefs in the sacred feminine that Jesus had actually passed on through Mary Magdalene. You see Magdalene is really the ‘Holy Grail.” The Catholic Church has from the start worked to consolidate its power. That hunger for power has got to come down.
Oh! but the Da Vinci Code book isn’t the only one cashing in on big books at the expense of Catholic truth. “The Last Templar” by Raymond Khoury, another novel that’s not so novel, has an adventurous couple also playing detective roles. Guess what! They track down Jesus’ diaries (not the Gospels - they’re too compatible with Catholic truth). Yes, they mean DIARIES of Jesus. Didn’t you know Jesus kept diaries. You see they had already been discovered in the holy Land already during the Crusades by the Knights Templar. And those diaries show that Jesus as not being God. He was just a better-than-average guy. Oh! Yes, the miracles of Jesus. Well those miracles and promises of salvation, even Jesus’ Resurrection - all that was a fabrication of the Church to consolidate its hunger for power.
And Oh! Yes! This has to make big bucks too. I mean a novel on the THIRD SECRET OF FATIMA. Well now, for some decades this priest writing to you, Father Robert J. Fox by name, was the first priest years ago, called “the Fatima priest.” I say “first” for it’s been claimed elsewhere by now. I’ve written on the Fatima Secret. In fact, I have a book to be released a few days after I finish this letter I’m writing now to you. Its titled FATIMA IS FOREVER. Yes, I’ve written about the Fatima Secret before but this time I have the WHOLE SECRET WRITTEN BY SISTER LUCIA HERSELF OF FATIMA. I even heard from her that what the Vatican, Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith released in 2000 AD as the Secret - was in fact the entire and true secret she had written down years ago. But I haven’t made big bucks on the truth as I present the real secret. - The novel, “The Third Secret” by Steve Berry makes the whole thing more enticing and even on the cover of Berry’s book is a short blurb “”Da Vinci Code fans will flock to this story… An excellent, tightly plotted thriller.” Wow! I can’t wait now to get out my book, FATIMA IS FOREVER - but it only tells the truth. You see, according to Berry, leaders in the Catholic Church had hidden the true revelation of Our Lady of Fatima, namely that birth control and abortion are just fine, priestly celibacy is wrong and the ordination of women is alright. Oh! There’s more, and this is exciting, same-sex marriage is a noble thing. If that’s not enough, Berry puts these words on the lips of the Blessed Mother of God, having her say to the three little shepherd children, “Go my little ones and proclaim the glory of these words.”
You see, according to Berry in his book, well its just a novel, The Catholic Church in the past and to the present has ruthlessly destroyed anyone who would reveal these secrets. “The Last Templar” has a murderous monsignor working for a brutal cardinal. Berry has a murderous priest also and he has two popes committing suicide; a good priest is murdered by the ruthless monsignor. How is this known? Well! When you are writing a novel to entertain you just make up something like this: a future pope is looking in on all this and then gives absolution immediately after for the murderous crime.
How do they get away with it? Come on! Didn’t you hear them say off-hand, that these are just stories, entertaining novels. Oh! there is much more. Such authors go on to say that the Catholic Church has repressed the true teachings of Jesus Christ and is itself simply the invention of the Roman Emperor Constantine in the fourth century.
Perhaps some non-Catholics will be tempted to read the “puritan pornography” of these books but they should understand just what is the secular interpretation of a long told or misrepresented anti-Catholic tenet. You see, the secular interpretation has it that in a rigged Catholic Church Council at Nicea in 325 AD - which was under the thumb of Constantine, a belief system surrounding Jesus was created by putting an official seal on false Scripture, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John . All this marked the beginning of a ruthless suppression of various gnostic writings that told the real story of Jesus. Now, that last part is not an interpretation that evangelicals would like as they too see in the Gospels the revealed Word of God as does the Catholic Church. The real authority that first declared the Scriptures we know today as divinely inspired, was in fact the Catholic Church.
Is all this deliberate confusion of history and Church teachings and the distortion of the Fatima message going to have repercussions that the anti-Catholic best selling authors never intended???? Maybe, and I hope so. People, including sincere evangelicals, may start doing some authentic research of history. Many Protestant ministers have come into the Catholic Church in the last 20 years. I’ve talked to some of them. They like to quote Cardinal Newman who converted to Catholicism wen he said: “To become steeped in history is to cease to be Protestant.” You see going back more than 20 years ago now, witnessing the ever escalating distortions of history and true doctrines of faith and morals, is why I founded the FATIMA FAMILY APOSTOLATE INTERNATIONAL and its vehicle of communications, THE IMMACULATE HEART MESSENGER magazine. It all started with youth, teenagers and young adults. I took about 2000 of them to Fatima for 13 days at a time - in small groups that ranged from 50 to 150 at a time. Search this network how to get this magazine THE IMMACULATE HEART MESSENGER and then 4 times a year I can tell you much more about real truth.
Because of all the false history around I wrote the CATECHISM OF CHURCH HISTORY book. Yes, the converted evangelical scriptural scholar Scott Hahn writes the preface for my History book. You’ll find that on this web site too. THAT HISTORY BOOK IS NOT A NOVEL. I MAJORED IN HISTORY as well as Catholic Doctrine. You can order that History Book from this website too. Scott Hahn said that those he once knew as a professor, that is, those who had left the Catholic Church, if they had seriously read and studied my history book, never, ever would have left the fullness of true Catholic faith. You may need this history book. Look it up on this web-site. Well! I got to go. I’m writing another book now. And you won’t guess the title. See you in my next visit on this website. FATHER ROBERT J. FOX - EDITOR OF THE IMMACULATE HEART MESSENGER, Founder of the FATIMA FAMILY APOSTOLATE INTERNATIONAL.
Conscience of a True Catholic
Monday, March 27th, 2006
WELL! WHAT ABOUT THOSE 55 CONGRESSMEN WHO IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES AS “CATHOLIC” AND WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES? THEY DESCRIBED THEMSELVES AS DEMOCRATIC MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE AND AS CATHOLICS but since they believe “in the primacy of conscience” they can be led to “disagreement with the Church in some areas.” Are they Catholic? CATHOLIC MEANS “UNIVERSAL” and if we are to consider ourselves Catholic we must faith in all the official teachings of the Church on doctrines of FAITH OR MORALS.
In late February this year 55 “CATHOLIC” CONGRESSMEN released a “statement of principles” that although they seek the Church’s guidance on moral issues, because of their belief in “in the primacy of conscience” they may sometimes disagree. Leaders of the Catholic Bishops in the United States obviously felt they had abortion in mind. Who does not know that such Congressmen have voted in favor of abortion, that is, the killing of human life before the child is born. Deliberate abortion by a Catholic can bring automatic excommunication from the Church.
It did not take the Catholic Bishops long to respond. Three heads of key bishops’ committees publicly followed up this action by the so-called “Catholic” and Democratic Congressmen by stating: “As the Church carries out its central responsibility to teach clearly and help form consciences, as Catholic legislators seek to act in accord with their own consciences, it is essential to remember that conscience must be consistent with fundamental moral principles.” Yes, we must follow our conscience as Catholics. But we have a serious obligation to form our consciences correctly. No Catholic can be a true and sincere Catholic and form his or her conscience merely on opinions, or to please others, or to be “politically correct.” What is “politically correct” can be very much contrary to God’s laws and the teachings of His Church. A Good and True Conscience is a judgment of the practical intellect deciding, from general principles of faith and right reason, the goodness or evil of a way of acting. Conscience does not produce the principles on which a correct conscience must be formed; it accepts them. Nor does a true conscience pass judgment on the truths of reason and divine faith; it uses them as the premises from which to conclude whether something should be done, or should have done, or not done.
A FALSE CONSCIENCE results when the judgment of the mind wrongly decides that something is lawful but that in fact is unlawful in the eyes of God and His Church, or vice versa. The error may be due to the false principles used or because the mind was darkened or confused in its reasoning process.
I find it impossible to understand that a Congressman could be uninformed of the teachings of the Church on the abortive murder of innocent human life. As Catholic we are obliged to listen to the official moral teachings of the Church and Sacred Scripture as interpreted by Christ’s Church. We don’t form a true conscience based on opinions.
