THE SUMMER ISSUE OF “THE IMMACULATE HEART MESSENGER” has just arrived in thousands of homes in the United States. Soon it will be in many homes in the Philippines, Australia and some eastern countries served by the St. Paul Society which reprints our Fatima Family Apostolate magazine in the Philippines. The magazine goes to people in Portugal, Canada, Poland, etc.
Since it is the 90th anniversary of the beginning of the Fatima apparitions and messages, approved by the Church, our latest issue featured “Part One” of a “Pictorial History of Fatima.” Having spent much time in Fatima each summer for over a 20 year period I was able to meet family members of the Blesseds Jacinta and Francisco and living blood sisters of Sister Lucia who died just over two years ago as well as the Church authorities in charge of keeping the Fatima message intact. Sister Lucia was well aware of the Fatima Family Apostolate and wrote me at times. She promised to pray for this Apostolate. She stood beside the 4′ 2″ hand carved wooden statue of the IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY at her Carmelite Monastery as I said Mass before taking the image of the Mother of God into Russia. The Bishop had first blessed it in the Cova da Iria in the Capelinha before I took it to Coimbra Carmel and then onto Russia for the dedication of Russia’s first Shrine to Our Lady of Fatima. You can see pictures of that if you search our website for the Shrine in Russia.
Spending so much time in Fatima over a 20 year period I was able to make quite a collection of historical pictures of Fatima from the beginning. They are contained in 38 sizable pictures together with captions in the latest IMMACULATE HEART MESSENGER. ” Part II” of Fatima’s history these 90 years will appear in the fall issue.
A story on the history of the Capelinha - focal point of interest at Fatima - housing the site where Mary appeared - is also featured in the summer issue; likewise an article by a Fatima scholar in Portugal on Fatima’s First Saturdays Devotions. Of special interest is a 3 page interview with the personal doctor of Sister Lucia of Fatima. Dr. Branca Paul was with Lucia when she died as well as being her doctor the previous 15 years. She was a delight to interview. The summer issues has various pictures of Lucia with her doctor in informal situations.
A GOOD PAIR OF GLASSES will interest husbands and wives as it reports how men and women see things differently. It is related with objective facts and a little humor and can help marriages.
Also contained is a continuation of Revelations by God the Father speaking to his children. It is from an approved private revelation.
TEACHING RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH FAMILY BONDING by a young husband and father of children - telling us that consistent formation begins before the age of one. It will be invaluable to young parents for the training and formation of their children. Ever wonder why with some families the young children are all over the place and noisy while with other families the children seem like angels and are quiet; at least at the proper times. THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE KIND OF FORMATION - TRAINING THAT GOES ON BEFORE AND AFTER THE AGE OF ONE. The former reminds one of: “Children should be seen and not heard” as the old timers would say.
Know anything about the approved apparitions of Jesus regarding devotion to the Most Precious blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ - which have taken place in Nigeria????? Well! One of the priests mentioned in the apparitions writes an article on it for our latest IMMACULATE HEART MESSENGER.
THE ABOVE AND MORE IS IN THE CURRENT ISSUE OF THE MESSENGER and as usual we have NEWS IN BRIEF since our former issue - to keep you informed of Catholic events. There is always the section QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. Three such pages in the latest issue. And something that also interests people in each issue is THE FATIMA FAMILY FORUM. That is your section. People write letters from everywhere. The summer issue has letters from Australia, Pennsylvania, Fiji Islands, South Pacific, New York, Michigan, Indiana, Connecticut, Ohio, and yes, the Editor’s responses to some of these letters.
Remember when I first mentioned I had an interview with the personal doctor of Sister Lucia of Fatima and that the promised 7th apparition of the Mother of God was told about and found in Sister Lucia’s Diary only after she died. We got near 14,000 people in two days who logged into this website at that time. Not a few appeared angry that they were not told the details immediately and some very strong accusations were made. It manifested both an ignorance of the spirituality of Fatima, an unhealthy curiosity rather than a depth of spirituality that desires to live the Gospel message for union with Jesus Christ - which every Pope since 1930 has said was reaffirmed at Fatima. - Thanks for logging in. Blessed are you to remind us in this modest district of Soufanieh in Damascus through this rosary of marvels such as exudations of oil, apparitions, ecstasies, messages, visions, stigmata, bodily and spiritual cures, with doors open to all, through continuous prayer in humility and gratuitousness; Blessed are you for your joint Presence, so powerful yet so discreet and loving, which is always the same, yesterday, today and forever.

Blessed are you for your presence in the Arab world, welcoming yet so unrecognized, and where miraculously survives this little tenacious and living remnant of Your first Church.

Father Fox Presents Lastest Book

Father Fox at shrine in front of his Alabama home, near Mother Angelica’s Monastery and Shrine, presenting his latest book, Fatima Is Forever, to Dr. Branca Paul, personal doctor of Sister Lucia. She was Sister Lucia’s doctor for the last 15 years of her life and with her at the time of her death. Branca Paul M.D. also became a close spiritual friend to Sister Lucia as well as being her doctor.
EVENING FATIMA MISSION RETREAT IN MICHIGAN

THE WORLD APOSTOLATE OF FATIMA - Detroit Archdiocesan Chapter is sponsoring a three evening Fatima Retreat with Father Robert J. Fox from Hanceville, Alabama where he offers Mass daily at Mother Angelica’s Shrine of the MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT. Father will have Mass each evening 7P.M, FATIMA INSTRUCTIONS, QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD. Detroit Chapter recently had built and dedicated a new special and larger Chapel for the WORLD APOSTOLATE OF FATIMA. Years ago Father Fox used to speak frequently at the Detroit Marian Center - and many teenagers and young adults from Michigan went with him for many years - on one of the many Youth Pilgrimages to Fatima. Thus he anticipates his three days : JUNE 13 THROUGH JUNE 15, 2007 in the Detroit area. He will also have a special session with Children one afternoon.
