The greatest gift that one has in this life is our faith in God, secondly our family. We must realize that if our faith is strong and our family is well-balanced, God -loving then we our successful in this life, although not in the eyes of our society. As Christians, we are all called to be holy, but few are following this because of our watered down, diabolic society in which we live. Now, when I say this I do not want to generalize because there are great people who are doing exceptional work for Our Lord and Our Lady, but, is it you? Are you doing God’s will, or your will?
As parents we have a great responsibility in rearing children and it is very difficult especially in these current times. With this said, we must monitor what our children are viewing on the internet, television and the new age texting on cell phones and so on. It is our job to monitor this and it is not an invasion of privacy, but be prudent in this and how you monitor this. Also, as parents we are the primary educators of our children and we must bring in wholesome good material for them. The home must be a place of formation a place of sharing of the faith with them. If not shred in the home they will receive information from somewhere else. The outside world will influence them and they may be lost to the world.
We must not close our eyes to this. If you are having problems with your children now when they are young, what will they be like when they become young adults. I was once told, ” Small Children, small problems, if not formed properly you will end up with big children and big problems. So, parents it is up to you to do your part.
Parents, God is calling you to be successful, and that is raising Godly children for His kingdom.
