As Christians we face many trials in our lives. Some of these become blessings in disguise. If our faith is not tested constantly then we must not be sharing it with others. Often when one shares his faith it is to show off the knowledge he /she has acquired through some book or theology program. In today’s rush, rush society, evangelization must become practical. It must be done out of love for God. Sincerity over rules a great deal when a person has experienced something from the heart.
I remember reading about St. John of the Cross and the dark night of the soul and not feeling the faith. What did he do? He continued on and is a great example of saintliness for us today. There are times when we don’t feel like praying. What should we do? Pray. There are times when we don’t feel like going to Mass. What should we do? Go. The Holy Spirit is inviting us in at different times to challenge us in our faith and if we except it the graces will flow and nothing will stop our love of God.
This life is a test, don’t fail it.
