The message of fatima is a an event that belongs to the Divine plan of salvation. In Fatima, God intervenes in the history of salvation in an extraoridinary manner, by means of Mary, His Mother and our Mother. Mary comes as a mediatrix between God and man, as we contemplate her in the “Yes” at the Incarnation of the Word. Since that moment, Mary stays indissolubly and forever joined to the salvific Love. Fatima is a revelation of this love.
The Family
Now the salvation of man passes through the family. The future of man, temporal and eternal, is decided in the family which is the most vital cell of our society. But, a family has its foundation in unity and indisoluble Matrimony. One cannot seperate the family from the marriage covenant nor the marriage covenant from the family.
On October 13th, 1917, the Holy Family appeared in Fatima: Jesus, with a gesture of blessing the world, Our Lady and St. Joseph. This apparition should be a cry of alarm for all of us. in spite of the physical, spiritual and moral decay of our society, the message of Fatima is hope for the family. Our Lady appeared to three innocent children that were related and part of the same families. The sign of the Holy Family appearing on that October day was a sign to all humanity that through the moral Christian family salvation is at hand.
